Acrylic decorative coatings sold as Venetian plaster do not carbonate, do not breathe like lime, and should not be substituted on a lime specification.
Grasello is the fine, high-polish lime putty finish. Marmorino is lime plus marble aggregate with more body. They are sister materials, not nicknames for the same bucket.
Venetian plaster is aged lime putty and marble, applied in thin coats and burnished. It carbonates back to calcium carbonate. It is not acrylic paste and not paint.
